As an unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a commercial real estate location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and maintain a visible presence that may help to deter security-related incidents. You will respond to concerns, support building operations, and provide professional customer service and clear communication to tenants, visitors, and staff, reflecting our agile, reliable, and innovative approach grounded in teamwork and integrity.
Requirements
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- A guard card and/or license is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a commercial real estate location.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of building interiors, common areas, loading docks, stairwells, and exterior perimeters to help to deter unwanted activity and identify maintenance or property concerns.
- Monitor access points and parking areas, verify credentials as required, and assist with visitor management and/or directing foot and vehicle traffic in accordance with site procedures.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including reporting suspicious activity, assisting with medical response until help arrives, and coordinating notifications per post orders.
- Complete detailed reports and shift documentation, communicate observations to Allied Universal leadership and/or property management, and follow up on service requests related to security-related concerns.
