As a Security Officer at a busy retail and mall location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and maintain a visible presence that helps to deter security-related incidents. You will greet shoppers and team members, assist with access control needs, and communicate clearly while responding to concerns. Requirements

  • Customer Service Experience is preferred.
  • Access Control/Badge Experience is preferred.
  • Guard Card/License - preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to our clients by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a retail store environment.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including supporting store staff with de-escalation and customer concerns.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of sales floor areas, stock areas, entrances, and the surrounding perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity.
  • Monitor for unusual activity such as shoplifting indicators, disorderly conduct, and unauthorized access, and report observations according to site procedures.
  • Complete required reports and communicate with Allied Universal leadership and store management regarding incidents, policy concerns, and follow-up needs.
