Job Description As a Security Guard - Healthcare Site - Full Time in Bronx, NY , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an unarmed patrol officer with Allied Universal in a healthcare-focused location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help deter security-related incidents and create a welcoming environment. Requirements

• At least one year of security-related experience is required.
• Proof of high school diploma or GED is required as requested by the client.
• Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies within a healthcare housing environment.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, assisting staff and residents as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify potential concerns.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and common areas to observe for any unusual or suspicious activity.
• Assist with access control procedures, verifying credentials of visitors and/or staff as required by site policies.
• Communicate clearly with Allied Universal management, site staff, and emergency responders as appropriate.
• Document and report security-related incidents, hazards, or maintenance needs according to established protocols.
• Support emergency response activities, following site-specific guidelines and Allied Universal procedures.
