About The Position
As a Security Guard - Healthcare Patrol - Full-Time in New York, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a busy healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will support access control, assist staff, patients, and visitors with clear communication, and respond to concerns with professionalism. Requirements
- Have a minimum of 2 years of security-related experience.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Nice To Haves
- Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
- CPR certification is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and/or staff by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities in a healthcare setting.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with de-escalation and coordinating notifications per post orders.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, grounds, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized access and/or prohibited activity; working environments and conditions may vary by location.
- Control access at designated entry points by verifying credentials and/or visitor authorization, monitoring for prohibited items, and documenting entries per policy.
- Complete detailed reports of activities, incidents, and/or observations; communicate status updates to Allied Universal supervision, healthcare staff, and/or emergency services as required.
