Security Guard - Medical Center Patrol - Full Time
About The Position
As a Security Guard- Medical Center Patrol - Full Time in New York, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer in a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and stay visible to help to deter security-related incidents while supporting patients, visitors, and staff with clear communication and customer service. You will document observations, respond to requests, and partner with onsite teams. Requirements
- Have a minimum of 2+ years of security experience.
- Be 21+ years of age.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Nice To Haves
- Access control and badge experience is preferred.
- CPR certification is preferred and may be completed post hire.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including notifying appropriate personnel and documenting events per site requirements.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and/or identify hazards or unusual conditions.
- Monitor access points and assist with visitor wayfinding and/or check-in processes as assigned, reporting unauthorized access attempts or policy concerns to site leadership.
- Complete required security-related reports and shift logs, including incident reports, patrol activity, and observations, using written and/or electronic systems.
