About The Position

As a Security Guard - Medical Center Patrol in Cleveland, OH, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer in a busy healthcare location, you will complete routine rounds, stay highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and respond to calls for assistance with calm professionalism. You will greet patients, visitors, and staff with strong customer service and clear communication, supporting clinical operations during high-traffic vaccine activity. Requirements

  • At this hospital site, vaccines are required.
  • The client requires proof of a high school diploma and/or GED.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • CPR certification is preferred and may be completed post hire.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and/or staff by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare setting.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including medical facility disruptions, visitor concerns, and/or suspicious activity, and communicate updates to appropriate personnel.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas, including clinical corridors, waiting areas, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter locations as directed by post orders.
  • Monitor access points and help to control entry and exit by observing foot and vehicle traffic, checking for authorized access when required, and reporting irregularities per site procedures.
  • Complete routine documentation such as patrol logs, incident reports, and shift activity reports, and notify Allied Universal supervision and/or site leadership of notable events per protocol.
