Job Description As a Security Guard - Government Site in Mountain View, CA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal on an unarmed patrol post supporting a government transportation location. You will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, stay highly visible to help deter security-related incidents, and assist riders and staff with clear, respectful communication. You will document observations, respond to calls for service, and escalate concerns through teamwork, reliability, and integrity in a caring, people-first culture.
Requirements
- At this site there are limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets and rustic guard shacks.
- A guard card/license is preferred.
- CPR/First Aid certification is preferred and may be completed post hire.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities
- Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at government transportation facilities.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, contacting appropriate personnel and/or public responders as needed.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of stations, platforms, parking areas, administrative buildings, and perimeter areas; working conditions may vary by location.
- Control access by observing and screening visitors, contractors, and deliveries, and/or verifying identification and authorized access where applicable.
- Complete security-related reports and logs, document unusual activity, and communicate observations to Allied Universal supervision and site leadership.
