Join Allied Universal at a government location as a Screener, where you will greet visitors, support access control, and conduct screening procedures such as observing entry points and checking belongings as required. You will complete routine rounds, remain highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and communicate clearly with staff and guests. Requirements

• A minimum of 2 years of security experience is required.
• Proof of a high school diploma or GED is required.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• The ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors and staff by following site-specific, security-related procedures and policies, including entry screening at designated access points.
• Screen persons and belongings using approved methods and screening equipment, verify identification and/or credentials, and direct individuals to the appropriate processing area.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying site representatives and emergency services as directed by post orders.
• Conduct security-related checks of screening lanes and surrounding areas, help to identify prohibited items or unusual activity, and maintain orderly flow of visitors.
• Complete required activity logs and incident reports, communicate observations to the Allied Universal supervisor and/or site contacts, and support security-related investigations as requested.
