As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal at a utilities location, you will monitor entry points, verify credentials, and conduct routine patrols to help deter security-related incidents. Requirements

A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Control access to the location by verifying identification and credentials of individuals entering the premises in accordance with site-specific protocols.
Monitor entry and exit points to help to deter unauthorized access and/or activities within the location.
Provide exceptional customer service by assisting visitors, contractors, and employees with access-related inquiries and procedures.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established procedures.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and its perimeter to help to deter and identify potential security-related risks or concerns.
Document all access control activities, observations, and incidents as required by Allied Universal and site-specific policies.
Assist in emergency response activities as directed, communicating information promptly and accurately to appropriate personnel.
Work collaboratively with location staff and Allied Universal team members to maintain a secure and orderly environment.
