About The Position

As a Security Guard - Unarmed Vehicle Patrol Driver in Seattle, WA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an unarmed, driving patrol officer with Allied Universal at a government transportation location, you will be on the move conducting routine vehicle patrols, staying highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and responding to calls for assistance. You will document observations, communicate clearly with staff and visitors, and support access points as needed. Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities within a government transportation location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including coordinating notifications and assisting with crowd direction as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of platforms, concourses, entrances, and perimeter areas to help to deter unwanted activity and identify unusual conditions.
  • Monitor access points and observe passenger and visitor activity, verifying authorized entry where required and reporting suspicious behavior through established channels.
  • Complete required documentation such as incident reports and patrol logs, and communicate clearly with site representatives, dispatch, and/or local first responders as appropriate.
