About The Position

As a Security Guard - Unarmed Retail Patrol Driver in Reno, NV, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal in a retail location, you will conduct routine patrols and remain highly visible throughout the area to help to deter security-related incidents. Your presence and proactive communication will foster a welcoming environment for guests and staff. You will also deliver exceptional customer service while upholding our values of integrity, teamwork, and putting people first. This position requires a valid driver's license due to driving responsibilities.

Requirements

A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
A Guard Card or license is preferred.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients and visitors by following security-related procedures and site-specific policies, including responding to emergency situations as needed.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, utilizing training and protocols provided by Allied Universal.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential issues.
Observe for suspicious activity and/or hazards during patrols and report findings to the appropriate personnel.
Work closely with store management and Allied Universal team members to address security-related concerns within the retail environment.
Complete required documentation and incident reports accurately and in a timely manner.
