Requirements
- Have a minimum of 2 or more years of security-related experience.
- Be 21 or more years of age.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Nice To Haves
- Hold a CPR certification preferred.
- Hold CPR and/or First Aid preferred.
- Have access control and/or badge experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to guests, associates, and visitors by carrying out Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a retail location.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the store, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including disturbances, medical calls, and alarms, and request assistance from law enforcement and/or management when needed.
- Monitor access points and observe for suspicious behavior, theft-related activity, and/or hazards, then report concerns to site leadership following established procedures.
- Complete routine reports and incident documentation, and communicate observations and status updates to supervisors and site contacts per post orders.
