About The Position

As a Security Guard - Unarmed Patrol in Minneapolis, MN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a financial institution location, you will conduct routine patrols and visible presence to help reduce security-related incidents, monitor access points and surrounding areas, and respond to calls for assistance. You will support a welcoming environment through strong customer service and clear communication, while living Allied Universal values of being agile, reliable, innovative, people-first, team-driven, and acting with integrity.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients at a financial institution location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including documenting events and communicating with site management and/or public responders as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of interior areas, entrances, and the perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verifying authorization where required and directing employees, vendors, and guests according to site procedures.
• Complete routine reports, shift logs, and patrol observations, and promptly report maintenance hazards, suspicious activity, and/or policy concerns through Allied Universal channels.
