Requirements

• Provide proof of a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Be 21+ years of age.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• CPR certification is preferred.
• A guard card and/or license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to students, staff, visitors, and vendors by carrying out Allied Universal and site-specific security-related procedures, access control practices, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting campus resources and/or emergency services as needed and completing detailed reports.
• Conduct regular and random foot patrols of galleries, classrooms, offices, loading areas, and exterior perimeter spaces to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
• Monitor alarms, surveillance systems, and fire panels as assigned, escalating irregular conditions per post orders and documenting actions taken.
• Assist with crowd management and event support, including line control, wayfinding, and coordinating with site personnel during programs, exhibitions, and high-traffic periods.
