About The Position

As a Security Guard - Unarmed Patrol Rounds in Leesburg, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries. As an unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a high-tech data center location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and maintain a visible presence that helps to reduce security-related incidents. You will also greet staff and visitors, respond to concerns, and document activity using computer and/or tablet tools. Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Having a guard card and/or license is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a data center location.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating to site contacts and/or public emergency services as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of interior spaces, exterior grounds, and perimeter areas; working environments and conditions may vary by site.
• Monitor access points, verify authorization for staff and visitors, and document entries and/or exits in accordance with site requirements.
• Observe and report unusual activity, alarms, and/or potential hazards, completing detailed incident reports and maintaining required logs.
