Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a residential community, where you will drive through assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and remain visible to help deter security-related incidents. Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to residents, guests, and/or visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting relevant details and communicating with property management and/or emergency personnel as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the residential community, including common areas, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter locations, to help to deter unauthorized activity and observe unusual conditions.
  • Monitor access points and community amenities, assisting with visitor interactions, verifying authorized entry when required, and reporting security-related concerns according to site procedures.
  • Support residential property operations by preparing routine reports, noting maintenance and/or policy-related issues observed during patrols, and providing clear updates during shift changes.
