About The Position

As a Security Guard Full Time Unarmed Patrol in New York, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. Requirements

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Loss prevention experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting concerns according to location protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout sales floors, entrances, common areas, back-of-house spaces, parking areas, and the exterior perimeter as assigned.
• Help to deter unauthorized activity, theft-related concerns, and/or policy violations through visible presence, attentive observation, and timely communication with site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
• Monitor access points and high-traffic retail areas, assist with crowd and/or line management during busy periods, and provide directions or assistance as appropriate.
