Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • Client requires proof of high school diploma or GED.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • CPR and/or First Aid is preferred.
  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors while carrying out site-specific procedures, access control duties, and assigned security-related responsibilities at a utilities location.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and unusual activity in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts and/or emergency responders as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized access, identify potential concerns, and report maintenance and/or operational issues.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and/or visitor information, and support vehicle and personnel screening processes in accordance with site policies.
  • Complete routine reports, logs, and incident documentation, and relay important information during shift changes to support continuity of security-related operations.
