About The Position

As a Security Guard - Unarmed Government Driver in Jacksonville, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an unarmed patrol officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol designated areas within a government location, helping to deter security-related incidents and providing a reassuring presence. Your role involves conducting regular patrols, maintaining high visibility, and delivering outstanding customer service and communication. Requirements

A Transportation Security Administration issued Transportation Worker Identification Credential is required.
Proof of high school diploma or General Educational Development is required by the client.
A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior. Working environments and conditions may vary by location.
Observe and report activities and incidents, communicating relevant information to Allied Universal management and/or client representatives as required.
Assist visitors and employees with directions and general inquiries while maintaining a professional presence.
Support access control procedures by monitoring entry and exit points, checking credentials, and helping to deter unauthorized access.
Remain alert to any unusual activity or potential hazards, reporting all concerns promptly according to site protocols.
