About The Position

As a Security Guard - Unarmed Government Driver in Jacksonville, FL , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an unarmed patrol officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol designated areas within a government location, helping to deter security-related incidents and providing a reassuring presence. Your role involves conducting regular patrols, maintaining high visibility, and delivering outstanding customer service and communication. Requirements

  • A Transportation Security Administration issued Transportation Worker Identification Credential is required.
  • Proof of high school diploma or General Educational Development is required by the client.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
  • Observe and report activities and incidents, communicating relevant information to Allied Universal management and/or client representatives as required.
  • Assist visitors and employees with directions and general inquiries while maintaining a professional presence.
  • Support access control procedures by monitoring entry and exit points, checking credentials, and helping to deter unauthorized access.
  • Remain alert to any unusual activity or potential hazards, reporting all concerns promptly according to site protocols.
