As a Security Guard - Unarmed Foot Patrol in Honolulu, HI, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a busy retail mall location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and maintain a visible presence that helps to reduce security-related incidents. You will support guests, tenants, and staff with strong customer service and clear communication while reporting concerns. Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Nice To Haves
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to guests, tenants, and staff by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a retail location.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and notify site leadership and/or emergency services as needed.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout common areas, entrances, parking areas, loading zones, and the exterior of the property to help to deter unwanted activity.
- Monitor for suspicious or unusual conditions, enforce posted property rules when appropriate, and assist with access control, crowd flow, and/or line management during peak shopping periods.
- Complete required reports such as incident, shift, and patrol activity logs, and communicate observations and updates to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.
