As an unarmed patrol officer in a transportation location, you will conduct routine mobile and foot patrols, stay highly visible to help discourage security-related incidents, and respond to concerns with clear communication and customer service. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license. Requirements

• A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
• A minimum of 1 year of security-related experience is required.
• Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, drivers, and employees by following site-specific procedures, access requirements, and other security-related policies.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating to the appropriate personnel and/or emergency services as needed.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of transportation-related facilities, parking areas, docks, and perimeter points to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify maintenance or operational concerns.
• Monitor cameras and other security-related systems, complete routine checks, and report irregular conditions such as unsecured doors, restricted-area access issues, or suspicious behavior.
• Complete detailed shift documentation including patrol activity, incident reports, and visitor or contractor logs, and communicate updates during post handoff.
