Requirements

At least 6 months of security-related experience is required.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

A guard card or license is preferred.
CPR certification is preferred.
Comfort with using a computer or tablet is preferred.
Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as needed.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the technology-focused location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential issues.
Document and report any observed irregularities or incidents according to site and Allied Universal standards.
Monitor access points and assist in controlling entry and exit to help to deter unauthorized individuals from entering restricted areas.
Communicate professionally with clients, visitors, and employees, addressing questions and/or concerns related to security-related matters.
Collaborate with site management and local authorities as necessary during emergency situations or incidents.
Remain alert to potential security-related risks specific to a technology, media, or telecom environment and report findings promptly.
