As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a leading tech, media, and telecom location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and stay visible to help to deter security-related concerns. You will support access control and badge checks, respond to requests and/or incidents with clear communication, and deliver customer-focused service that reflects Allied Universal values of agility, reliability, innovation, teamwork, and integrity.
Requirements
- Have at least 1+ years of security-related experience.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Nice To Haves
- CPR and/or First Aid is preferred and may be completed post hire.
- CPR certification is preferred and may be completed post hire.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to site personnel and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a tech and office location.
- Conduct regular and random foot patrols of interior areas such as lobbies, hallways, workspaces, and shared amenities, and exterior areas such as entrances, loading zones, and perimeter walkways.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including handling access concerns, disturbances, and alarms according to post orders.
- Monitor access points and observe activity to help to deter unauthorized entry, policy violations, and suspicious behavior, and report concerns to site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership.
- Complete detailed patrol logs and incident reports, communicate shift activity during post handoff, and coordinate with onsite staff and/or emergency responders when needed.
