About The Position

As a Security Guard - Telecom Sector Patrol in Sterling, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol designated areas within a dynamic tech and media location, helping to deter security-related incidents while remaining highly visible. You will provide excellent customer service, communicate clearly with visitors and staff, and contribute to a welcoming environment. Requirements

Proof of high school diploma or GED is required by the client.
A guard card or license is preferred.
Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.
CPR certification is preferred.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the business location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
Monitor access points and observe for any unusual activity, reporting findings to the appropriate personnel.
Communicate with Allied Universal management and site staff regarding security-related matters as needed.
Document incidents, observations, and/or daily activities in accordance with site protocols.
