Job Description As a Security Guard - Telecom Patrol Driver in Chesapeake, VA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer in a dynamic tech, media, and telecom environment, you will help to deter security-related incidents by conducting regular patrols and maintaining a visible presence throughout the location. You will provide outstanding customer service and clear communication, supporting a welcoming atmosphere. This is a driving post, requiring a valid driver's license. Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Possess a valid guard card or license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, utilizing training and company protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location, including both the business interior and perimeter areas, to help to deter unauthorized activity.
  • Observe and report any unusual conditions, potential hazards, or suspicious activity encountered during patrols.
  • Communicate clearly with team members and site management regarding incidents, concerns, or requests for assistance.
  • Assist with access control by monitoring entrances, checking credentials, and directing visitors as required by site policies.
  • Complete required documentation and incident reports in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Maintain a professional presence and represent Allied Universal in accordance with company standards while on duty.
