About The Position

As a Security Guard - Telecom Office Patrol in NEW YORK, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas within a dynamic technology-focused environment. Your presence helps to deter security-related incidents while you provide outstanding customer service and communication. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures and following site-specific policies, including responding to emergency situations as appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the premises and perimeter to help to deter potential risks, with patrol frequency and routes varying as directed by site requirements.
  • Document and report any observed irregularities, such as property damage, theft, presence of unauthorized persons, or unusual occurrences encountered during patrols.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with clients, visitors, and staff to provide assistance and information as needed.
  • Follow all Allied Universal and client protocols for access control, visitor management, and incident reporting at the location.
  • Participate in ongoing training and briefings to stay informed about site-specific procedures, technology industry-related concerns, and emergency response protocols.
