About The Position

As a Security Guard - Telecom Facility Patrol in Darlington, SC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned tech, media, and telecom locations, helping to deter security-related incidents and maintaining a visible presence. You will interact with people, respond to situations, and deliver exceptional customer service. This is a driving post, offering the opportunity to utilize your experience and communication skills while supporting a culture built on teamwork, reliability, and integrity.

Requirements

At least 2 years of security-related experience is required.
Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Be comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
Alarm panel experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as appropriate.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner within the location.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the business premises and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
Observe and report any unusual or suspicious activity encountered during patrols.
Communicate professionally with clients, visitors, and/or employees at the location.
Document incidents and daily activities according to Allied Universal protocols.
Support access control processes to help to deter unauthorized entry into restricted areas.
Remain alert to the unique needs of a tech, media, and telecom environment while performing duties.
