As a Security Guard - Telecom Facility Patrol Driver in University Park, IL , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal in a leading tech, media, and telecom location, you will conduct routine patrols and remain highly visible to help deter security-related incidents. Your role involves providing outstanding customer service and clear communication while monitoring assigned areas. This position requires a valid driver's license and involves driving responsibilities. Requirements
- A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and responding to emergencies as appropriate.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location, including the business premises and perimeter areas, to help to deter unauthorized activity.
- Observe and report any unusual or suspicious activity within the location.
- Assist employees, visitors, and/or contractors with directions or information as needed while maintaining a professional presence.
- Document and communicate any incidents or concerns according to Allied Universal protocols.
- Collaborate with team members and site management to address security-related concerns specific to a technology and media environment.
