About The Position

As a Security Guard - Telecom Campus Rover in San Francisco, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a leading tech, media, and telecom location, you will conduct routine patrols, stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and respond to reports with calm, clear communication. You will document observations, assist employees and visitors with directions and service needs, and partner with site teams to keep operations running smoothly. Requirements

• A guard card/license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, employees, and visitors by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a tech, media, and/or telecom location.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns per post orders and reporting requirements.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of interior areas, exterior grounds, and perimeter points to help to deter unwanted activity and identify hazards and/or maintenance issues.
• Monitor access points and common areas, verify identification and/or authorization as required, and assist with directing visitor traffic per site procedures.
• Complete detailed shift activity reports and incident documentation, communicate status updates to site contacts, and support investigations by preserving observations and evidence within assigned duties.
