Job Description As a Security Guard - Tech Patrol Day Shifts in Brooklyn, NY , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer supporting a dynamic tech and media location. You will monitor assigned areas, complete routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help reduce security-related incidents, and respond to access control and service requests with clear communication. Requirements

• Have a New York State Security Guard License.
• Have 1+ years of security-related experience.
• Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
• Be 21+ years of age.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

• The ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients and visitors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a tech, media, and/or telecom location.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating to site management and/or public emergency services as required.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of interior areas, exterior grounds, and perimeter points to help to deter unwanted activity and identify hazards and/or maintenance concerns.
• Monitor entry points, common areas, and technology spaces as assigned, verifying authorized access, checking identification and/or badges when applicable, and documenting unusual activity.
• Complete detailed reports and logs, communicate clearly via radio and/or phone, and assist with directions, general information, and de-escalation of conflicts when needed.
