Job Description As a Security Guard - Tech Campus Driver in Matteson, IL , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an unarmed patrol officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas within a dynamic tech, media, and telecom location. Your visible presence will help to deter security-related incidents, while you provide outstanding customer service and clear communication. Requirements
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional customer service by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and responding appropriately during emergencies.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm and problem-solving manner, supporting a secure environment for employees and visitors.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location, including business areas and the perimeter, to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
- Observe and report any unusual activity, security-related hazards, or maintenance issues to site management and/or Allied Universal leadership.
- Maintain detailed and accurate records of daily activities, incidents, and observations as required by site protocols.
- Collaborate with other site personnel and law enforcement as needed to support incident response and security-related operations.
- Remain alert and attentive throughout the shift, adapting to changing environments and conditions typical of a technology and media workplace.
