About The Position

As a Security Guard - Site Patrol Driver in Sioux Falls, SD, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Food/Beverage, and more. Join Allied Universal as a Patrol Unarmed Officer, where you will help to deter security-related incidents by conducting routine patrols and maintaining a visible presence in a dynamic food and beverage location. This position requires a valid driver's license as you may be responsible for driving as part of your patrol duties.

Requirements

A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols for the location.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and promote a secure environment.
Observe and report any suspicious activities, hazards, or unusual conditions encountered during patrols within the food and beverage production location.
Communicate clearly and professionally with site personnel, visitors, and emergency responders as needed.
Assist with access control by monitoring entry and exit points and verifying credentials as required by site policy.
Support Allied Universal and client representatives during emergency situations and drills by following site-specific procedures.
