About The Position

As a Security Guard - Site Patrol Driver in Sioux Falls, SD, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Food/Beverage, and more. Join Allied Universal as a Patrol Unarmed Officer, where you will help to deter security-related incidents by conducting routine patrols and maintaining a visible presence in a dynamic food and beverage location. This position requires a valid driver's license as you may be responsible for driving as part of your patrol duties.

Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols for the location.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and promote a secure environment.
  • Observe and report any suspicious activities, hazards, or unusual conditions encountered during patrols within the food and beverage production location.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with site personnel, visitors, and emergency responders as needed.
  • Assist with access control by monitoring entry and exit points and verifying credentials as required by site policy.
  • Support Allied Universal and client representatives during emergency situations and drills by following site-specific procedures.
