As a Security Guard Enhanced Part Time Screener in Vance, AL, this role provides reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility to earn more by picking-up additional shifts. This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week, with the option to scale back when needed. The role involves a fixed-shift commitment (Anchor Shifts) for a designated site and weekly shift, requiring a six (6) month commitment. Additionally, employees can earn more through the Claim-A-Shift Program by picking up extra shifts via a scheduling platform.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to the location.
• Screen employees, visitors, contractors, and/or deliveries entering the location in accordance with site protocols and access requirements.
• Monitor entry points, verify credentials, and document visitor activity to help support authorized access throughout the location.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate relevant details to site contacts and/or emergency personnel when needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter, noting unusual conditions and reporting security-related concerns according to post procedures.
