As an unarmed Patrol Officer in a government school location, you will conduct routine foot and vehicle patrols, stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and support staff and visitors with clear communication and professional service. This is a driving post requiring a valid drivers license in line with AU Driver Policy requirements. Requirements

  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be able to ride a bike.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to students, staff, visitors, and/or vendors by following Allied Universal procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of school buildings, common areas, and perimeter grounds to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations; working environments and conditions may vary by location.
  • Monitor access points and visitor check-in procedures, verify identification as required by site policy, and direct visitors to appropriate destinations.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and actions according to post orders.
  • Communicate with site administrators and local responders as needed, report hazards and/or maintenance concerns, and complete activity logs and incident reports.
