As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a busy retail and mall location, you will conduct routine foot and vehicle patrols, stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and support shoppers, tenants, and staff with strong customer service. You will document observations, communicate clearly with site leadership, and respond to requests with professionalism. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license. Requirements

• Have 2+ years of security-related experience.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 21+ years of age.
• A guard card/license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, shoppers, and/or visitors by following site-specific procedures, customer service standards, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random foot patrols throughout retail common areas, parking areas, loading/service corridors, and the exterior perimeter to help to identify unusual activity, hazards, and/or policy violations.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including supporting de-escalation efforts and coordinating with local law enforcement and/or emergency services as directed.
• Monitor entrances, restricted areas, and key control points to help to control access, assist with directions and escorts, and/or support loss prevention initiatives as assigned.
• Document security-related activities, incidents, and patrol observations in written reports and/or electronic systems, and communicate relevant information to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision.
