As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol retail locations, helping to deter security-related incidents while remaining highly visible to guests and staff. Requirements

  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Access control or badge experience is preferred.
  • A guard card or license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations when appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm and problem-solving manner, assisting guests, employees, and/or visitors as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify potential security-related concerns.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and high-traffic areas within the retail environment to observe and report suspicious behavior or unauthorized individuals.
  • Work closely with store staff to address security-related incidents and provide assistance during emergency situations.
  • Document and report any incidents, hazards, or unusual occurrences in accordance with Allied Universal and client policies.
  • Remain visible and approachable to provide a welcoming presence and support a positive experience for customers and employees.
