About The Position

As a Security Guard - Retail Patrol - Afternoon Shift in Catonsville, MD, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol retail locations, helping to deter security-related incidents and providing a reassuring presence for customers and staff. This driving post requires a valid driver's license as you conduct routine patrols, respond to situations as needed, and deliver exceptional customer service. Requirements

A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
A guard card or license is preferred.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner to support a secure environment.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity.
Observe and report any unusual activity or potential threats within the retail environment.
Assist visitors, customers, and/or employees by providing directions or responding to inquiries as needed.
Collaborate with store management and Allied Universal team members to address security-related concerns specific to the retail setting.
Maintain detailed and accurate records of activities, incidents, and/or observations during assigned shifts.
