About The Position

As a Security Guard - Retail Patrol Driver in Harlingen, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As a Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol retail locations to help create a secure environment for shoppers and staff. Your presence and attention to detail will help to deter security-related incidents while delivering outstanding customer service. Requirements

A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
At least one year of experience in an armed security-related, law enforcement, or military role is required.
At least one year of security-related experience is required.
You must be at least 21 years of age.
Level III armed certification is required for positions in Texas only.
You must be able to ride a bike.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and following site-specific policies.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential issues.
Monitor entrances, exits, and common areas to observe and report any unusual activity or security-related concerns.
Offer assistance and information to customers and staff as needed, maintaining a visible presence on the premises.
Support emergency response activities and communicate with Allied Universal management and local authorities as appropriate.
Document and report all incidents, observations, and activities according to site and Allied Universal guidelines.
