About The Position

As a Security Guard - Retail Patrol Driver in Johnson City, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As a Patrol Officer in a retail location, you will conduct routine patrols and remain visible to help deter security-related incidents while delivering outstanding customer service. This is a driving post, requiring you to operate a vehicle as you monitor the premises. Requirements

A valid New York State Security Guard License is required.
A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Customer service experience is preferred.
Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
A guard card or license is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as appropriate.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and promote a secure environment.
Observe for signs of theft, shoplifting, or other suspicious activity, and report findings according to site procedures.
Monitor entrances, exits, and other key areas to help to deter unauthorized access and support loss prevention efforts.
Complete detailed reports and documentation related to security-related incidents, patrols, and daily activities.
Collaborate with store management, employees, and local law enforcement as needed to address incidents and/or emergencies.
Assist with crowd management during peak hours, special events, or emergency situations as directed by site leadership.
