Job Description As a Security Guard - Retail Entry Point in Salisbury, NC , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal at a distribution-focused retail location, you will monitor entrances and exits, conduct routine patrols, and help to deter security-related incidents. Your presence and attention to detail will promote a secure atmosphere while providing outstanding customer service. Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Monitor access points and verify credentials of individuals entering and exiting the distribution facility to help to deter unauthorized entry.
Provide customer service by assisting visitors and responding to inquiries in a professional manner.
Respond to incidents and critical situations at the location in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established procedures.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and its perimeter to help to deter potential security-related concerns.
Document and report security-related incidents, observations, and activities as required by site-specific policies.
Support emergency response activities when appropriate, following Allied Universal and site-specific guidelines.
Communicate and collaborate with site staff and Allied Universal management regarding security-related matters.
