About The Position

As a Security Guard - Retail Driving Role in Santa Fe, NM, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will help to deter security-related incidents by conducting routine patrols and maintaining a visible presence in a retail environment. You will foster a welcoming atmosphere through exceptional customer service and strong communication. This driving post involves monitoring assigned areas and responding to situations as needed, all while upholding our values of teamwork, reliability, and integrity in every interaction.

Requirements

A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
Customer service experience is preferred.
A guard card or license is preferred.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as needed.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity.
Observe for unusual activity and report all incidents in accordance with company and client procedures.
Assist visitors, customers, and employees with directions and general inquiries while maintaining a professional presence.
Work collaboratively with retail staff and Allied Universal management to address security-related concerns specific to the location.
Maintain awareness of surroundings and communicate any potential hazards or suspicious activity to the appropriate personnel.
