Requirements

A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Pepper spray certification is preferred.
Handcuffing certification is preferred.
The ability to ride a bike for long periods of time is preferred.
A guard card or license is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, as well as responding to emergencies as appropriate.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm and problem-solving manner, assisting with conflict resolution and reporting as needed.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail and mall areas, including the business interior and surrounding perimeter, to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
Observe and report any unusual activities or security-related concerns to Allied Universal management and/or client representatives according to established procedures.
Support access control processes, monitor entrances and exits, and assist visitors or patrons with directions and general information as needed.
