As an unarmed patrol officer at a leading retail location, you will help to deter security-related incidents by conducting routine patrols and maintaining a visible presence. You will interact with guests and staff, providing outstanding customer service while responding to incidents as needed. Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.

Loss prevention experience is preferred.
A guard card or license is preferred.
A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as required.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner within the retail location.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the store and surrounding perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify potential concerns.
Observe and report any suspicious behavior or incidents in accordance with Allied Universal guidelines and site-specific instructions.
Assist with access control by monitoring entrances and exits, verifying credentials as needed, and providing guidance to visitors and staff.
Support loss prevention efforts by remaining visible and approachable to customers and staff, and by reporting any incidents of theft or property damage.
Maintain detailed and accurate records of daily activities, incidents, and any actions taken during patrols.
Collaborate with store management, staff, and local authorities as needed to address security-related concerns and support a positive environment for customers and employees.
