Job Description As a Security Guard - Residential Patrol Team in Santa Clara, CA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Residential, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol residential apartment communities, helping to deter security-related incidents and supporting a welcoming atmosphere for residents and guests. You will conduct routine patrols, remain visible throughout the location, and provide exceptional customer service while communicating clearly with residents and team members. Requirements

• At least one year of security-related experience is required.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Access control or badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to residents and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner to support the needs of the residential community.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the property and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
• Observe and report any unusual activity, maintenance issues, or hazards encountered during patrols to the appropriate personnel.
• Assist residents and guests with inquiries and provide directions or information as needed.
• Collaborate with law enforcement and/or emergency responders when required by the situation at the location.
• Maintain detailed and accurate records of daily activities, incidents, and reports for Allied Universal management.
