About The Position

As a Security Guard - Residential Patrol in NEW YORK, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Residential, and more. Requirements

At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

A guard card or license is preferred.
Experience with access control or badge systems is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to residents and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and responding to emergencies when appropriate.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the residential property and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
Document and report security-related incidents, maintenance issues, and/or unusual occurrences as observed during patrols.
Collaborate with property management and/or local law enforcement as needed to address security-related concerns at the location.
Maintain visibility throughout the location to help to deter potential disturbances and provide a reassuring presence for residents and guests.
Assist residents and visitors with questions and provide directions or information as needed.
