As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal at a residential location, you will monitor entry points, verify credentials, and conduct routine patrols to help to deter security-related incidents. Your visible presence and commitment to exceptional customer service will foster a welcoming atmosphere. You will use technology such as computers or tablets to support access control procedures, while upholding our company's values of teamwork, integrity, and putting people first.

Requirements

Customer service experience is preferred.
Access control or badge experience is preferred.
Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Monitor and control access points at the residential location to help to deter unauthorized entry and maintain a secure environment for residents and visitors.
Provide customer service by greeting residents, guests, and contractors, verifying identification, and assisting with inquiries as needed.
Follow site-specific policies and procedures related to access control, including the issuance and tracking of visitor passes and/or parking permits.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating issues to the appropriate personnel when required.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the property and perimeter to help to deter suspicious activity and report any unusual observations.
Maintain accurate logs and records of access activities, incidents, and/or any security-related occurrences as required by Allied Universal and client protocols.
Support emergency response activities according to established procedures, including assisting residents and coordinating with emergency services if necessary.
