As a Security Guard - Petrochemical Entry Monitor in Sulphur, LA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. As an Access Control Officer in a chemical and petrochemical location, you will monitor entrances and patrol assigned areas to help deter security-related incidents while providing excellent customer service. You will remain visible, interact with visitors and personnel, and utilize technology to support access control procedures. This position requires a valid driver's license in the job state. Requirements

A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
Must have 1 or more years of law enforcement experience, or 2 or more years of security supervisor or manager experience, or 3 or more years of security-related experience.
At this site there are limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets and rustic guard shacks.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

Monitor access points to help to deter unauthorized entry and maintain security-related protocols at the location.
Verify credentials and provide authorized access for personnel, contractors, and visitors in accordance with site-specific procedures.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and perimeter to help to deter and identify any suspicious activity or security-related concerns.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established emergency response procedures.
Document and report all security-related incidents, observations, and activities as required by Allied Universal and client site policies.
Assist with the enforcement of site policies and procedures to support a secure environment within the chemical and petrochemical location.
Provide customer service by assisting employees, visitors, and contractors with inquiries and directions while maintaining a professional presence.
Collaborate with other Allied Universal personnel and site management to support ongoing security-related operations and objectives.
