About The Position

As a Security Guard - Reception Post Full Time in Pine Brook, NJ, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Aero/Defense, and more. As a Front Desk Officer at an advanced aerospace and defense location, you will welcome employees and visitors, support access control and badge checks, monitor entry activity, and document security-related events using a computer and/or tablet. You will be a visible, professional presence that helps to deter incidents while delivering strong customer service and clear communication. Requirements

  • Have at least 1+ years of security-related experience.
  • Be 21+ years of age.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • Be comfortable using a computer and/or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients by following site-specific access control procedures, badging requirements, and other security-related policies at a front desk location.
  • Greet and screen visitors, issue visitor credentials, verify appointments and/or authorization, and maintain visitor logs in accordance with facility procedures.
  • Monitor alarms, cameras, and security-related communications from the front desk, and report irregular activity according to site protocols.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including coordinating notifications and/or emergency response activities as directed.
  • Answer phones and direct calls, assist employees and visitors with general inquiries, and document shift activity using required reports and logs.
