About The Position

As a Security Officer - Reception Post in Los Angeles, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries. As a Front Desk Security Officer with Allied Universal at a residential community location, you will be the first point of contact for residents, guests, and vendors while supporting security-related access control. You will greet visitors, verify credentials, help manage keys and badges, monitor cameras and alarm panels, document incidents, and communicate clearly with onsite teams. You will bring an agile, reliable, and people-first approach while acting with integrity and teamwork.

Requirements

  • Have at least 6 months of security-related experience.
  • Be comfortable using a computer or tablet preferred.
  • Have customer service experience preferred.
  • Have access control and/or badge experience preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to residents, guests, and vendors at the front desk by following Allied Universal security-related procedures and site-specific policies.
  • Control access to the location by greeting visitors, verifying identification as required, issuing visitor credentials, and directing individuals to appropriate areas.
  • Monitor cameras, alarms, intercoms, and other building systems from the front desk and report irregular activity according to post orders.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including coordinating notifications to property management and/or emergency services when appropriate.
  • Complete routine front desk logs and reports, document incidents accurately, and communicate shift handoff information to incoming personnel.
